2007
The end of the year is upon us and what a great year it has been for Alouann. Our litter has had an brillant start to their careers and at only 2 years old have now won between them 1CC,BOB and Group 3 (Harvey is one of only three Afghans to gain a group placing this year with the other being his sire Aladin), 2RCC's in the UK, 2x CAC (Holland), 1x CAC (Bel), 2x CACIB (Bel & Holland), 1 Green Star. 1 Res Green Star and Chili was awarded the title "Winner 07". In addition Alouann triumped at the Breeders Stakes again and in their one and only heat we won Overall Breeders Stakes at Blackpool to qualify for the Final at Crufts 08.
2007 also saw a new beginning with Dave the Papillon joining the family, he has had a great puppy career and is Mia's best friend. We look forward to 2008 with him.
It was also not a year without sadness, in July Aladin returned home to New Zealand. He was only shown a few times before he left and won 3CC & BOB and Group 2 at his final show. We know he is happy with Will and Alex and at his first show weekend back in NZ he went BIS. Aladin - we miss you and will never forget you.
November
All Winners Show Amsterdam
Gail and Chili win 1 EXC Open Bitch, 2x CAC (Dutch), 1 x CACIB, Best Of Breed, and the title Winner 07. Huge Congratulations, Judge was Marion Spavin.
Alouann did its first tour to Europe as a group and did ok at the Eurodogshow in Belgium.
Alouann hot N Spicy at Orashan JW won 1st Open Bitch and graded Excellent at the Sighthound show.
Alouann Fame N Fortune was graded excellent at both shows and placed 3rd open dog at the Eurodogshow.
Alouann Moonlight N Roses was graded excellent and placed 4th open bitch at the Eurodogshow.
October
Aladin makes his debut back in New Zealand and wins BIS on the Sunday and Hound Group 1st on Saturday, well done Aladin and Wills, pictures to follow soon.
Midland Counties Championship Show - Papillon Judge Mrs Jenny Scovell
Dave "Joneca First Edition for Alouann" enters with the big boys for the first time and wins Junior Dog.
Northern Afghan Hound Society - Chilli wins Open Bitch.

We would like to welcome into Belguim Jhanzi Over T Rainbow for Franky and Nicole and Anne and Janine. After a worrying wait for Aliah's journey from New Zealand she came out of the box and fitted straight in like she had been there for ever. Aliah is by Aladin to NZ Ch Jhanzi Star'T Color Me Blu. City of Birmingham Champ Show
Could not have been a better day for us, Harvey Alouann Fame N Fortune, handled by Liz for Carol Lambert won Yearling Dog, Dog CC and Best of Breed under judge Mike Gadsby. There were 134 Afghans entered. Harvey then went into the Hound Group under Norman Zinman and took Hound Group 3 under very strong competition, there were 2000 hounds entered.
But that was not all, Dave the Pap "Joneca First Edition For Alouann" went to win Puppy Dog, Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy In Breed under judge Peter Taylor and then went onto win Toy Puppy Group 3 under judge Dr Ron James.

What a day - Kashmir won the graduate dog class and then took the RCC, congratulations we are so pleased, well done Tina.
Chilli also continued her winning by taking her 11th yearling class.

27 July 07 - today we lost Sophie Izmar Secret Rendevuz at Araki, she was 13 years old. Sophie lived with Georgina and was co-owned by us and show by Liz. Sophie was a star not just in the ring where she won 2CC's and 3 RCC's but also as a brood bitch being the mother to Ch Araki Akkolade, Ch Araki Scaramouch, Aust Ch Barjoni Secret Affair At Tico and Jsy Ch Barjoni Secret Desire at Elangeni and winning the Our Dogs Top Brood bitch competition.
Our love go to Georgina and her sons Barry, Jodie and Nicky.

9th July - Today Aladin left us to start his onward journey home back to New Zealand with Will Hansen and Alex Gilchrist. Aladin has been in the UK for 2 1/2 years and has an exceptional show career. At the time of his return he was current Top Afghan 2007. Aladin arrived safely in New Zealand on Thursday 12th July.
He was a lovley dog to live with and Claire and him had a very special bond. Aladin we love, will miss you so much and will never forget the time we had together.

Alouann have done it again, first time in 4 years we decided to enter the Breeders Stakes, With a new team consisting of Alouann Leather N Lace at Purplequeen, Alouann Fame N Fortune, Alouann Hot N Spicy At Orashan JW and Alouann Moonlight N Roses, they won the Overall Breeders Stake Heat under judge Valerie Foss. Chilli wins the Yearling bitch Class.
Gail and Roger took Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW "Chilli" and Ch, Ir Ch Alouann Sugar N Spice At Orashan JW "Honey" to Ireland for a couple of shows and had great results.
Chilli started her Irish title by winning the Bitch Green Star at SOUTH TIPPERARY IKC 2007 - Mr V O'Brien (Ire) beating Honey to the Reserve Green Star. She then took the bitch Reserve Green Star at FEMOY IKC 2007 - Mr T Pehar (Cro). Well done.
On the same day Aladin also continued his winning ways, he was invited to the Afghan Mayball which is open to Afghans who have won a CC and RCC in the last two years. The judge for the night was respected Hound judge June Minns. Aladin won Best in Match and a good time was had by all.

Aladin wins the CC and Best of Breed under judge Martia Rodgers (nee Gibbs) and shortlisted to the final six for BIS under Mrs Dyke at the Hound Association of Scotland Champ show.
Chilli "Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW" wins Best of Breed under judge Jow Ashwood at NUNEATON & DISTRICT CS and then takes Hound Group 2. Well done!!

Aladin attended the Pedigree Champion Stakes Final at the NEC under judge Jack Bisham and was placed 5th in very strong competition. We are really pleased with his placing as he was against the best of the best.

Aladin is Top Afghan in the UK for 2006, his wins this year includes BIS Leeds Championship Show, Group 1st at Leeds, SKC (Aug) and Southern Counties Champ show, Group 4 at SKC (May) and Midland Counties Champ show, 8 CC's including the CC at Crufts 2006 with 6 Best Of Breeds. He also made his first visit to mainland Europe and won a RCAC.
