Diego "Windspiel Northern Steel For Alouann" wins Best Puppy In Breed and Reserve Best Male under judge Mrs Moss.
Gail and Chili "UK, Ir, Int Ch Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan" JE Sh CM" win the RCC under judge Mr Frank Kane.
Yorkshire Afghan Hound Show - Judge Bitches Mrs S Metcalfe
Chili and Gail again win the open bitch class.
Richmond Dog Show
Gail and Chili continue there winning ways by been awarded 1st open bitch under judge Mr David Evans in the breed and then winning 1st in the Eukanuba Champion Stakes under judge Mr Stuart Milner (Dialynne).
Claire also made her debut in the Greyhound ring handling Claire Boggia's Norw Swedish Ch Jets A Walk On The Wild Side Of Bo to win 1st Open Bitch, Best Bitch, Best Of Breed and the CC (it was a single CC show) under Australian judge Kay Eldred.

Alouann Visit Oslo (Norway)
On the 14th August, Liz and Claire travelled out to Norway for two shows, the Norwegian Kennel Club Crufts Qualifing show on the Saturday, followed by the Afghan Hound Club of Norway Speciality Show on the Sunday.
Olso Crufts Qualifying International Show - Judge Mr Richard Meen
Victoria wins the Junior Bitch class with champion quality grading and qualifies for Crufts 2010.
Afghan Hound Club of Norway - Judge Mr Donde Tesic (Serba)
Victoria wins the Junior bitch class with champion quality, the CC, Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show. She also won the competition for Best Expression.
This was such an exciting win in such a quality entry, there were 13 champion bitches entered at the show. This gives Victoria her 2nd CC at the age of just 15 months, she can not become a Champion until she is 2 years old and needs to get a CC at an international show to do this.

Paignton Champ Show
Chili continues her winning ways and wins 1st Open bitch and then the bitch RCC under judge Barry Hedge
Dave "Joneca First Edition for Alouann" also continues his and wins the limit dog class.

After such sadness in the last couple of weeks, Alouann have something to be happy about.
Ir, Int Ch Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan Jw Sh CM is now a UK champion !!!!!!!!!!
Leeds Champ Show - Ray Barter (Satang, Aust)
Chili wins 1st Open bitch and the CC, a huge well done to Gail and Roger who have presented Chili first class for all her wins, heres to many more.
Not to be out done, it was also a good day for other Aladin kids, Jerry ""Afterglow Jemanicus" owned and handled by Kirsty Dudgdale wins the Yearling dog class and then takes the RCC, huge well done, we are so proud of you both.
And finally, the Aladin daughter Jesebel "Afterglow Jesebel at Sofico" wins the Yearling bitch class handled by Claire.
10th July - today we had have had to say goodbye to Aaliyah at just under 15 years old. Aaliyah proved herself not only in the showring but as a producer and she was mum to the first Alouann Champion.
Aaliyah will be sadly missed especially by Liz but we know her mum Velvet and brothers Henri and Ben will be looking after her.

Victoria "Al-Dahna's Vitae Victoria" wins her 1st CC and Best Bitch. Well done Torill and her handler Belle for this great win, Victoria has only just turned 1 year old. Added a video from the show on her page.

AHA Champ Show - Dog Judge Linda Bishop-Saunders
Harvey "Alouann Fame N Fortune" wins the limit dog class, Dog CC and Reserve Best In Show.
Liz unfortunately could not show Harvey at this show so our good friend Stian Tangjerd from Norway came to show harvey to this win, you both looked wonderful. This win gives Harvey his 2nd CC.
Gail, Roger and Chili "Ir Ch, Int Ch Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW Sh CM" made another succesful trip to Ireland and won the following

With a heavy heart we have to announce that we have lost Bimbo "Alouann Blond N Dizzy" at 10 years old. Our thoughts are with Toni and Danielle Seward who was devotated to her. Bimbo, your uncle Henri and Ben will be looking after you.
IKC St Patricks Day Show
We are proud to announce that Chili won the Bitch Green Star, Best Of Breed, Title Celtic Winner 09 and Group 10 4th at the St Patrick Day show.
This win was special as it gave Chili her 7th Green star making her an Irish Champion, well done Chili, Gail and Roger, we are so proud of you.
We have had confirmation from the FCI that Chili is now an International Champion of Beauty which she won in November 08. A good week for Chili.
Crufts
Dave "Alouann First Edition of Alouann" had a great show and won Graduate dog under judge Mrs Banfield.
In the Afghans, Phoebe "Alouann Coffee N Cream" won 4th in Veteran, she was 10 years old on the 1st March and looking at her other than the face you could not tell her age.
Chili "Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW Sh CM" was 3rd in Limit bitch
Arwen "Alouann Tart N Rainbows for Joneca" won 5th in Post Grad Bitch
Harvey "Alouann Fame N Fortune" came 4th in Limit dog, shown by our friend Stian Tangjerd from Norway who had come over to stay with Torill Knudsen (Al Dahna's)
We also competed in the Breeders Final and the team looked wonderful, lots of very good comments and feedback and we were so proud of them all.

Bo, Norway - judge Matti Luoso (Finland)
Liz and John visited Victoria in Norway and Liz handled Victoria at her first International show with a great result winning the Junior Bitch class at only 9 months of age.
At the show was also Ch Star't Cutting Trax of Jhanzi with Gunilla and Francis who had a great show and won Best Male and Best of Breed, this win gave Kid Sox his Norwegian and Nordic Ch title.
We cant thank Torill and Stian more for their hospitality and making it a great weekend, click here to see pics from the weekend.
Birmingham Afghan Hound Club - Dog Judge Jean Hurl Bitch judge Heidi Woodgate
Chili has a good start to the year winning Best Bitch under Heidi Woodgate and then taking Best In Show on agreement from both judges. The entry was 95 dogs entered ( including 8 NFC) giving 120 entries. Well done to both Gail and Chili.

We had to say goodbye to Ben today "Alouann Soul Man", he was 14 years old and from our first ever litter. We will miss you so much Ben but we know your mum and brother Henri will be looking after you.

Victoria attends her last show in puppy and not only wins Best Puppy In Breed but goes Best Puppy In Group 10. Click on Victoria's page to see her write up from the show.
This means that Victoriais not only unbeaten in the Afghan puppy class but has won the group everytime she has been shown.
We are very proud of Victoria and Toril.

Round Up 2008
Chili "Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW Sh CM" is Top Afghan in the showdogsireland.com competition where points are awarded to the winner of the most group placings in the year in Ireland.
Alouann have qualified for the 3rd time for the Pedigree Breeders Stakes final at Crufts 09 by winning the heat at WELKS. Again this was won on their first competition.
Alouann bred dogs are winners of Best In Show (BAHC) 1CC, 3RCC's (UK), 5 Green Stars and Best In Show 4 (Combined Canine Club), Group 2 and Group 3 (Irl), 2 CACIB's (Bel), and 2 x CAC (Bel), title Barbo 08 (Bel)
In addition, Alouann handled dogs have won BPIB, Overall heat winner of Pup of The Year Stakes (UK), 3rd Best Male at the Swedish Sighthound show (Sweden)
